Blood-Brain Barrier (BBB) is an important mechanism for protecting the brain. It is semi-permeable; that is, it allows some materials to cross but prevents others from crossing. The BBB protects the brain from “foreign substances” in the blood that may injure the brain and maintains a constant environment for the brain.
DHA is found in fish oil. It supports brain development and protects neurological function. One of the major building blocks of the brain, the omega-3 fatty acid docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is critical for optimal brain health and function at all ages of life
Phosphatidylserine (PS) is a vital component of all neuron’s cell membranes, the protective layer that surrounds your cells. Human research suggests PS may help support overall brain wellness.
